FAQs

Where are you located?

We are located at 11 Young Street in Tonawanda, NY, directly under the Gateway Harbor Bridge. Please see the map above.

Can I reserve kayaks or waterbikes?

Kayaks, waterbikes, and paddle boards are rented on a first come, first serve basis. We have a vast inventory, so if ever a wait, we promise it will be short!

Are life jackets provided?

Yes. Life jackets will be provided for all. Ages 11 and under are required to wear the jacket while on the water.

Is there a minimum age requirement?

So long as you’re able to hold a paddle in a kayak or reach the pedals of a waterbike, all ages are welcome! We find that the sweet spot is typically 6-8 years of age and have boats of all sizes to accommodate.

Can I bring my little ones with me?

Absolutely! Small children are welcome to accompany an adult in a kayak or sit on the side pontoon of a waterbike.

How stable are each of the apparatuses? Am I likely to fall in the water?

Both the kayaks and waterbikes are very stable. You are not likely to fall in the water (though on a hot day, we welcome swimming!). We do warn that the stand up paddle boards require a bit of balance, but we find it’s typically a fun challenge that’s easily mastered.

Will I have any trouble getting into a kayak?

We offer a state of the art kayak launch that makes getting in and out of the water smooth and easy.

Can I launch my own kayak from your dock?

Absolutely! Bonus points if you bring along some friends looking to rent 😉

Do you accept credit cards?

We do! Though we encourage bringing cash, as a 5% fee will be applied to all credit card charges.

How many pontoon boats do you have? How early in advance do I need to reserve?

We offer a single pontoon boat for rent. That said, we recommend reserving early! It goes without saying, but weekends and holidays typically book up the fastest.

When do you open and close for the season?

It depends on how quickly the warm weather comes and goes (feel free to call for real-time updates!). While we don’t have hard dates, you can count on us being open Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend.

What are your daily hours while in season?

Every day — weather permitting — from 10:30am-8pm. Last rents go out at 7pm.
